You have Christmas on your mind Carole. Beautiful.

This inspiration thing is always a problem Carole, I'm working on a series of simple ' a view from a window ' ideas at different times of the day. Anyway, this is what I expect from you, stunning drawing and well balanced design.

No John I don't look forward to it at all, too much hype! And too much food:( thanks though ;)

Really lovely Carole - I must get my thinking cap on for a card but I think I'm leaving it a bit late. Your flowers are always great.

If that is your idea of not having inspiration, Carole, I wish I was in your shoes!!!! This is perfect: beautiful subject and perfect composition. I love the way you can paint white flowers.

That's beautiful Carole a proper traditional looking Christmas card

I agree with Mia about inspiration!! Green and white are so fresh together then throw in some red to compliment the green and it's beautiful. Really lovely Carole. I have cheated with my cards after years of hand making all of them , I now choose one and have cards printed from it.

A beautiful design Carole. Seeing all the snow scenes and Christmas scenes coming onto the site in the past few days is now beginning to make me feel festive - not a bad feeling at all!

Fabulous traditional design Carole. I’ve just cut my Lino for the print of my card for this year. I did three or four different prints last year.....thought I would just do one, too much hassle to do more.

Very nice Carole. Love the shine on those berries. Can't say I'm looking forward to it either and having a local department store displaying big red and white banners wishing us 'Merry Christmas' a couple of weeks ago really annoyed me. I said Merry Christmas to the girl on the til that sunny day to be told that quite a few other customers had done the same..lol

Thank you all very much. Alan sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't know where to start. Diana I only do cards for family the rest are bought ones :)) Fiona, I look forward to seeing your Lino print. Louise they seem to start packing shops with Christmas stuff in August!!

Beautifully done and not to Christmassy. Colours all work well together.

It will certainly make a wonderful Christmas card. It is a lovely painting.

Beautiful as always Carole but I am with you.....too much hype & too early ....our subject in class today was tonal study of portrait of JFK. Not my thing at all & very tricky but enjoyed attempting something totally different...just a thought for inspiration as you have inspired me sooo much. I asked my tutor for clue for next week...yep....Christmas :) :(

Superb Carole. Don't know why, but red and green mean Christmas...(-:

A beautiful design, Carole.

Beautiful design Carole, lucky people on your Christmas card list!

superb painting

Thank you again for kind comments all. Sylvia I keep thinking about trying to draw a portrait, it wouldn't be posted on here I can tell you :))

Well, I can sort of understand the shops selling Christmas stuff early as some like to spread the cost but to wish customers 'Merry Christmas' with huge red and white banners at the door in October is just plain silly. Then, to top it off, the girl behind the till didn't seem to realise that my good wishes were said with a touch of sarcasm and she happily replied that she liked the Christmas 'build up'. lol

Well, even without inspiration this is a beautiful design for a christmas card!

As usual a little masterpiece Carole .

Thanks Jenny and Sylvia very kind. Louise I see what you mean now, yes that's pushing it!

Many thanks Glennis, Kirstie and Dennis.

Such a lovely Christmas card Carole, beautiful as always.

Carole this is a lovely design and so well painted

Very Christmassy Carole, beautifully done as usual

Your compositions are always so elegant Carole, and this is a perfect example. So dainty, and of course beautifully executed.

Thanks very much for your comments really appreciate them :)

Lovely Carole and it's getting closer
