I know it is very messy, dropped paint everywhere but like I say, just nice colours. No Dennis I didn't lose my temper! well not this time!

I think this is gorgeous Carole. Such rich colour and the cling film effect works so well. I was going to say that I liked the touch of blue in the poppy centre but it might sound a bit like blue ocd coming from me at the moment :)

Lovely vibrant image.

Thanks Louise, yes blue is the colour of the moment! Thank you Fred.

Gorgeous, Carole! I want to go and paint some too!!!! I have none in my new garden, but real beauties in my last garden. I really miss all of my plants. I have hundreds of photos of them to work from though.

Lovely sense of the tactile quality of the poppy controlled anger Carole!

Poppy petals, especially Oriental poppies have that papery look and feel to them, and the clingfilm effect really demonstrates that in this instance Carole. Glad you didn't throw it away....it's lovely.

Thank yo very much for your kind feedback. Every year when these poppies flower I have to have a go at them they are so beautiful. Jennifer you will have to get some more for your new garden.

So glad you didn't throw this one away Carole it's beautiful especially with that texture from the cling film but I can't spot where you used the oil pastel. Go on, give us a clue :)

Oh! So glad you didn't throw it away - it is lovely - really brightens the gallery Carole. If I could be messy and drop paint as well as this I would be very pleased with myself!!

Thank you , Val the oil pastel is the orangey bits in the petals and some blue black and cream in the stamens. Thanks very much Julie.

Your technique looks very effective Carole. Very nice indeed.

Much clearer picture than on AF you can see the texture on the petals so much better, there is something to be said for being messy!

Thanks Dympna and thanks Debs, much appreciated.

Lovely ! Eye popping colour and texture here Carole!

Excellent work Carole and you gotta love those water droplets

Beautiful palette Carole! I love all these red tones!

mixed media, acrylic ink, oil pastel and used clingfilm. Nearly threw it away but I like the colours so thought I would show it to you anyway!
