Little experiment with extra fine gouache on sample card of Bockingford.

Looks like a good experiment, reminds me of a volcano erupting, good colours 😃

Like Linda my first thought was flowing lava Carole. How does extra fine gouache differ from normal gouache when painting with it ?

Very effective experiment, love the textured look.

Thanks very much ladies. Val there seems to be more pigment and they are very smooth almost like watercolour, it is by Lefranc and is called Linel, I only bought three as very expensive from Great Art. You know me for trying out something new!

Lovely "HOT" texture. Interesting experiment and result.

Thanks Carole, I'll resist the temptation as I already have normal gouache and acrylic gouache which I don't use often enough :)

Some wonderful textures. Makes the mind wander.

Fabulous colour, Carole. It would look great framed.

Super...really evocative, so interesting to look into and imagine...gouache is amazing stuff, I think

Brilliant colours, Carole. I can see that hanging in a modern apartment.

An inferno! Very interesting, and lovely lush colours from the gouache. Thanks for the info about the paint.

Thank you for your very kind feedback on this, so grateful. You are welcome Lewis.

I think I see a dragon's face in the top right of the picture Carole and his tail going up to the left. It's very effective.

Love this makes me think of all sorts of things such as rust, fire and decay

NOT SURE ABOUT HOT CAROLE. MORE LIKE BOILING. LOL. Now this is abstract and at 6 foot by 4 it would look WOW!

Thanks so much for all your ideas from this, so interesting:)

Isn't it lovely to just let things happen, no stress, no perspective, no figures to worry about - just great fun. Good one Carole!

Love this carole it's like dried blood .
