Again, a beauiful little study Carole. I like the bleeds in the background, they give it texture.

This looks a little abstract to me Carole, but I like it. Quite unusual.

Also love the bleeds (which gives me an idea for a cartoon) - such an accomplished piece Carole

Different style Carole but nevertheless lovely

Thanks very much all, I just doodled to try the back of the paper. Maybe I will go abstract with your kind remarks! Michael glad to be of use ;o))

This is a lovely abstract painting Carole look forward to seeing more!

A really delightful study, Carole. Like Fiona, I really like the background and how you used it to frame the bloom. Super!

Very nice Carole! I like the colour and background.. I might be off track, but have you used salt here and if so which type? Mine hasn't worked!!!

Thanks Christine, seok and Louise. Louise I didn't use salt it's just water splattered onto the drying paint. When I use salt I just use fine table salt, it seems to depend on how wet the paint is when you apply the salt. It seems to work better on thickish paint too.

Thanks Carole, your splatters are good and I'll keep trying with my experimental sprinklings :)

Love the effects on this one Carole. I would like to become a bit more experimental with my flower painting and water colour is a great medium for that , isn't it!?

This was done on the other side of the Hahnemuhle Cornwall rough, this is quite smooth and takes the paint very well. 4 x3"
