I just love this type of painting, Carole, the colours in this are gorgeous. I've not heard of Hydrus watercolours before, I thought you had used inks as the colours are so rich.

Thanks Fiona and Jenny. Jenny they are Dr P H Martin's Hydrus watercolour, they are very strong colours and you can let them down with water if wished, they blend nicely. There's another type of Dr PH Martin's 'radiant watercolour' but it isn't lightfast, but still bright beautiful colours.

Love this, Carole. It reminds of some of Anne Blockley’s paintings. I’ve got her ‘Experimental Landscapes’ book, and this would fit nicely in it.

Isn't it funny how always these carefree, fun splashing around creates the most impressive pictures? Although having said that, it does take skill to not ruin those beautiful effects. Your work is amazing Carole!
