Satu's challenge

Satu's challenge
Comments

I'm trying hard to forgive Satu for setting this challenge! Your drawing is excellent, the ellipses and shadows are good and the slightly darker background throws the shapes forwards works well. I don't know about you, but I'd never have tried this and when I first saw Satu's drawing I thought how easy it looked. Was I wrong..LOL

A great attempt Carole which, unfortunately has made me wonder if I saw the original wrongly. I assumed Satu's objects were solids which is why I had no shadow inside the ellipse when in fact it may have been -as you and a couple of others have drawn it-a tube. Don't suppose either matters really, but it made me stop and think. Well done anyway..(-:

Thank you very much, yes it was hard! The cube is a bit out but when I tried to rectify it threw something else out so left it. Jim I thought Satu did a solid cylinder it is just me!

My tube was a kitchen roll, I just fudged up the top of it LOL

Thank you very much Carole for taking part! Different view again, lovely! My cylinder was a solid block and the other odjects too. I don't usually draw things like this either but it makes you think and observe more of what is in front of you, especially how the light hits the objects and where the shadows land.

Another great attempt. I did the cylinder thing as a hollow hence the shadow inside as you have done Carole. Anymore challenges anyone?

Thank you, it certainly makes you think Satu! A good bit of practice.

Not an easy one but well worth the hassle, you've done a super job of it Carole!

A great pencil drawing Carole, I haven't attempted this!

That's a good one Carole, maybe now I'll have time to give this challenge a try.

Thank you very much Gudrun. Yes go on go on Val! ;)

No they are not Carole but a great success

It's tricky enough but you've handled it very well Carole
