Hi Carole, I immediately knew this was one of yours: great drawing! Do you really use H-pencils? I always thought those were too hard to make dark shadows. But you did an excellent job on this.

Thanks Larry for your kind comment. Thanks Mia, yes I used H pencils as they give a light touch and can be built up to a dark tone without the graphite dust that makes the paper dirty which you get with soft or B pencils.

Beautiful drawing Carole

Beautifuly observed - a delightful drawing

Lovely drawing Carole, I too look forward to seeing it in full blown colour!

Lovely drawing Carole

Thanks everyone for your time to comment. Maybe I will try a painting.

This is really, really gorgeous, Carole! You convey the delicacy of the blossoms so effectively. Great line and tonal work. I'm really envious!

Do like your pencil sketches, Carole. I can be as patient as a saint with my painting BUT when it comes to drawing ....! Well done.

This is a beautiful drawing with excellent tones and composition.

Such delicacy, Carole; you have a very light touch and this is just beautiful.
