Really captures the character of the stone Carole !!

Wow, Carole, this is fantastic. Great subject, fit for the charcoal technique. I just posted my version of tinted charcoal pencils. It is a very nice way of using them. Never knew what to do with them till now.

Me neither Mia! I bought them a few years ago at Patching's Art Festival and never used them. Thanks for your comment. Thanks very much Audrey.

Beautiful production Carole

Like it Carole, still not had a go at Michaels charcoal !!!

I will let you know when I need a stone wall. Nice to know an expert!

Fabulous, Carole! So inspiring...must have a go at life drawing tomorrow!

This is a cracker Carole. Who'd have thought that a stone wall could have looked so good? That's talent :)

Nicely portrayed Carole, I've not heard of tinted charcoal so will look into that.

Well done Carole, great textures.

Great stonework Carole.. some lovely effects

That's great Carole, you've really caught the texture of the stones. As I've just said on Mia's post I must dig out my tinted charcoal, I'd forgotten I'd even got them 'til Mia's post reminded me.

This is absolutely delightful. I love the way you described the stones and the delicate little plants at the top. Beautiful

Brilliant idea for a subject Carole and the use of charcoal sets the wall off a treat.

Thanks very ,inch for your encouraging comments. Charcoal is so expressive but so messy! 🙄

That looks brilliant Carole, nice shading and shapes.

Another beauty, Carole.

Very good Carole. Sketching walls and brickwork etc is I find, therapeutic !

Thank you Sandra and Richard, yes you are right Richard, I like stone walls and all the nooks and crannies :)
