I’m a bit low on inspiration too, Carole. I’ve got a few old photos of Ilfracombe and Woolacombe to paint, but it’s finding the get up and go to start them 😀

It offer good to play and see what happens; interesting pictures; love the green tones; great experiment.

Love the tones, Carole.

I have moments like that Carole......horrid isn’t it. I like this, it looks like the kind of sky I can see out of my window at the moment.....it’s very misty but with the odd streak of sunshine trying to force its way through. In fact if there were a hazy silhouette of a tree just where the break is from the top and bottom washes, it would be my view! Lol

Love this painting, really good.

Lovely, soft colours Carole. Don't despair I think we all feel like that now and again!

Yes we all get like that from time to time, love the colours and washes though, have you tried turning it upside down, I think I can see a tree trunk forming and grass lol

Another one uninspired here too, Carole! I really like the shades of green you have achieved here, and the granulation too. They’re really good washes, just at the point they could be transformed and developed. But even as they are, they are very pleasing to the eye.

Thank you all for your encouragement, as I can't find inspiration I don't feel much like painting either, so just putting paint down with a wet brush is all I can muster! So pleased though that you can see something into this doodle :)

Very nice Carole, good wall art me thinks !

Glad I am not standing under that lot Carole! Very atmospheric.

If this is you lacking in inspiration, Carole, I'd like a hefty dose of it. I think this is marvellous. I see a wonderful storm, positively raging, with cliffs in the background bearing the tempest of the sea and wind. There is fury in this work. Absolutely love it. Brian

This is stunning. Watercolour in all its beauty. I love it!

Rough sea & stormy sky......wonderful watercolour Carole :0

Thank you ever so much, so inspiring to receive such lovely comments.

I know exactly how it feels... This is a great idea of still doing something creative though.... just paint can be so beautiful!

Thanks Jenny and Sandra. I do like watching paint do it's own thing :)

Snap!, me neither Carole so I wonder why... Anyway, always good to throw a bit of paint around and see what happens, we don't always need to produce gallery ready artwork do we?.

It’s interesting what you can make for doodles like this Carole.

I like this Carole and leaving the White bits.

Thanks Alan, John and Richard. So pleased we are in the same mind:) Just love trying colours with inks.

You get some good effects with your ink and watercolour washes Carole and this is no exception.
