Works and then some, Carole! Another really beautiful study, superbly depicted.

I agree with Seok Carole, a beautiful botanical study. The additional flower really enhances it.

Carole it's beautiful, and I think the added one is the best......if there could be a 'best'. I think it's because the underneath of the petals look so much more delicate, I would find that really hard to achieve.

The addtition really pulls it tigether - superbly painted and a joy to view.

So delicate but also very accurate too :)

So pleased you all like the updated version. That's another one to frame ;o)

I agree with all the above Carole, the additional flower certainly balances the painting. Beautifully painted as always, love to see the framed version of it too!

Thank you very much Glennis, I will show to you soon.

totally stunning Carole, i hope to aspire to this advanced level soon, but it will take me years and years and years :-p you have such a lot of talent to be able to paint such beautiful flowers and make them look like they are from the pages of a book :-)

Running out of adjectives for your paintings Carole, simply lovely doesn't quite do it, but I hope you know what I mean!!

Lovely details and delicately painted.

Beautiful Carole, very delicate.

What beauties, love the raggedy edge of the deep purple petal in the foreground :)

Thank you rebecca for your kind words, also thank you Debs, Lorraine, Denise and lesley for your encouraging comments.

Carole, you have such a talent to execute these gorgeous flowers! Your portfolio is truly amazing!

Thank you very much Béatrice, very kind of you. X

I love the movement and freshness of colours in this painting Carole

Watercolour and watercolour pencil used dry. I added another clematis to balance the one shown in gallery below, hope it works?
