I found this barn near Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales. I photographed it on a dull, damp day, and decided to use the shapes to paint a red sandstone barn from the Eden Valley, with the typical red door.

Fiona Rossington
After a career teaching Science, I am now retired and have time to enjoy a local Art class. I find pastel suits my style but I also enjoy trying to use water colours to good effect. I love painting flowers but also enjoy buildings, which so far I have painted from photos I have taken.
