Thank you to all of you for those kind compliments! I had never painted tangerines before. I put masking fluid where the highlights were to go. Then went over the white with a pale wash, and put tiny dots over the dry wash. It sort of worked!

I was inspired by a vase of flowers on the table at a local hotel. I drew them there and then, and worked up a still life using some of my collection of pottery.

Fiona Rossington

After a career teaching Science, I am now retired and have time to enjoy a local Art class. I find pastel suits my style but I also enjoy trying to use water colours to good effect. I love painting flowers but also enjoy buildings, which so far I have painted from photos I have taken.
