Lessons in Oils

I wonder what is round the corner?, Lovely painting Fiona.

First class of the new term in oil painting. This isn't finished by any means, only the first blocking in and under washes. I will be returning to finish it in the next few days......hope the weather stays good!

Very promising. Works in progress are very interesting, especially in oils as you have to wait for paint to dry. I have a couple lurking.

I'm intrigued to know where the path leads..... a lovely scene with super fresh greens.

Hi Fiona nice to see work in progress, I find i ignore reality and bring blues and cool colours into the background and warm light and shade to the front

This has all the good bones on which to hang a good painting! Can't wait to see what you do with it, Fiona!

Works well so far, don't over work it!

Lovely shaped skeletal trees Fiona, I like the highlight on the righthand tree.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate your support especially when I'm tackling something different. I hope I can get similar light/shadows etc to finish off.
