Lovely and thick, great foliage and worth the struggle

Very satisfying to look at. I like painting on a smaller scale from time to time too.

Fabulous textures and light

Really like this!

I like thick paint - particularly against thin: then hang it on the wall where it'll get raking light at certain times of day. This is an excellent study of something we'd walk past every day without even noticing it; I think it was Chardin who said "it doesn't matter what you paint, it's how you paint it" - this is a very good example of what he meant, it's so well done.

The light in this is gorgeous!

A lovely job done here!

Thank you all! Robert, I think it's just light, light can make anything beautiful :-)

Oil on A5 canvas. I did this one last year. When I fight with paint, specially with close-up looks, it ends up super thick and although it may not be as I wanted it to be, I always like thick paint... a reminder of my struggles
