Starlings at Middlehaven by Emma Price

Love a good murmuration!

What a superb painting, beautifully done Emma.

Lovely watercolor.

Wonderful use of watercolour Emma. I haven’t seen any murmurations since moving here but we have geese coming into the loch in the village, watched small flight of Pinks come in this morning from the en-suite window! Lol I would prefer starlings!

Lovely work Emma, I can’t get on with Bockingford for some reason, acts a bit like blotting paper!

This is really lovely Emma. I love the way you’ve shown this murmuration.

Lovely tranquility!

Must have forgotten to press “ add comment” yesterday so here goes, again. Lovely watercolour with great sky and light on the water. The eye goes to the starlings…and I love the purple church. The masts are a great addition too. How big is it Emma?

Lovely strong sky here Emma and the flock of birds adds life to the scene.

Thank you everyone! Marjorie - it’s 10x14 inches. Fiona - I’m a bit jealous of your pinkfeet 😁 they fly over us in autumn but don’t stop. Alan - that’s a relief, thought it was just me! It works well for birds and foliage, but big washes never seem to go right.

Lovely painting Emma nice👍

Thank you Keith.

A view across the old dock, dull November weather. Worked up from an on-site sketch. Watercolour on Bockingford CP (the surface went a bit spongy in places, maybe I overwetted it?).
