Life on the edgelands
Birds, bugs and wildflowers abound on the scrubby, grassy edgelands around Middlesbrough - land that’s seen as valueless by some local politicians but of immense value to wildlife, and to me as I explore it during my lunch breaks. Even peregrine falcons can occasionally be seen hunting.

I'm an amateur painter from County Durham. I sketch and paint for my own enjoyment and relaxation; in particular, looking at the plants and animals in our local area and attempting to paint them.
