Arctic tern, North Gare by Emma Price

Arctic terns possibly see more daylight than any other beings in the world, as they migrate from the northern hemisphere summer to the southern, spending our winters in the midnight sun of Antarctica. This bird is a youngster on its first southward migration, waiting for a parent to bring some fish. Watercolour on Bockingford, 14x10".
