Purple sandpipers

I recently bought some small linen canvas panels to try out - this is the first attempt. A rougher surface than I’m used too. Interesting geology fact of the day (😁) - the huge boulders used to reinforce the sea wall are larvikite from Norway, so these little sandpipers, which breed in Scandinavia up to Svalbard, should feel right at home. Water-mixable oil, 9x12".
