Eider ducks
The male eider ducks have returned after their breeding season further north - I’m sorry to say that they play no part in their childrens’ upbringing. This peaceful scene was rudely shattered when the bird on the right decided to clamber straight through, rather than swim around, the other two - much angry flapping and jabbing of bills, then he swam off quite calmly.
