This brought a lump to my throat Emma. I lost my wee Spuggs about a month ago, I do miss her dreadfully…..especially her constant cheeping for eleven years……the house is so quiet without her. The sparrow top left is so like her, gorgeous painting Emma.

Captured very well. This reminds me that I photographed a gang of 8 of them in the fat hedge in our garden and planned to do a painting but I was overwhelmed by the detail and numbers and never started it, so well done Emma. You did!

Thankfully we’ve only had a light dusting of snow, but it’s still bitterly cold; the birds are all fluffed up to keep warm (and, as you can see, they’re still chirpy!) Pen and wash in my sketchbook.
