I think your portrait is just lovely and so well done in watercolour I agree with Kay you should be very pleased with this as it is your very first one. I do hope we see more.

My first portrait in watercolour! I've been painting (landscapes) for just over a year and I've been really inspired by the articles on portraits in Leisure Painter. After trying a couple of pencil and coloured pencil portraits from photographs (rather unsuccesfully!), I thought I'd have go in watercolour. It turned out to be a surprisingly good likeness of my youngest daughter!
