On the Thames

Very nicely controlled washes Dympna, but I would have liked to see the reflections slightly softer and not so pointed. Good effort though, well done.

Lovely use of colour Dympna, although I must agree with Alan's comments re the reflections. So many things to master with watercolour! But you are making great progress.

Thank you Alan, Dennis and Stephen for your comments. I also agree about the reflections. It was a last minute desperate attempt to save the painting from the rubbish bin.

It's never easy Dympna with watercolour, but if you wet the whole of the water you could rework the reflections. The medium is more versatile than you think. You've certainly mastered the art of graduated washes which is very difficult.
