So gentle but precise. Your beautiful washes are a treat Dympna. Lovely scene.

Lovely painting, so tranquil and delicate, make mine a pint!

Smashing skills with the medium

Lovely, clear washes - I like that yellow touch in the sky, where it sits perfectly convincingly. Well-observed shadow on the pub roof - shadows can bring a painting to life when you get them right, and kill it off when you don't.

Thank you Carole, Alan, Derek and Robert for your kind comments. Much appreciated.

Lovely work Dympna , clear fresh washes ... Excellent

Would this be Cheriton Dympna? It is near Hinton Ampner. What is NT's Hinton Ampner?

Hinton Ampner is National Trusts Regency country manor and gardens in Bramdean. I do not know the name of the village the pub was in. We were just driving around and I stopped to photograph the pub and houses in the village. Unfortunately the pub was closed so we couldn't get a drink.

Superb technique and colour Dympna

A lovely, sunlit piece. Beautifully painted, Dympna!
