Black Diamond Lake
Oil on canvas. 56cm x 76cm - Enjoyed a picnic with family by this lake last Spring. Two hours drive south of Perth. The lake is an abandoned coal mine, decommissioned in the 1950’s and flooded with water. When the sun is shining on a clear day the bright turquoise colour is created with the sun reflecting off the water which contains limestone. Studio painted from my own photo.
