This really sets the imagination going Steve.....your washes evoke all kinds of natural elements, rain storm, dust storm and a morning mist tinged by the sunrise enveloping the shoreline and trees. Your paintings transmit what you have experienced and soaked up in the landscape around you. Love it!

Steve, there is more than the use of paint in your art, it’s something you don’t get in a tube and you can’t get it off the shelf.

Fionna, I love your comments. I guess that comes from being pasionate about painting. Whatever I'm doing or wherever we go art is on my mind and I'm constantly looking to evolve my style. I know I'm making progress when I get comments such as yours.

The line of trees in this picture were inspired by scenes I saw on the Northumberland coast, the scots pine were inspired by a group of trees I spotted on the east coast of Scotland.
