I think the experiment has really worked - the splattering has worked a treat alongside the verticals - like the colours too.

Hi fionna, glad you like it. I've struggled with the photography with this picture. In reality the painting is brighter and the pinks don't have that peach look. I photographed it 9 times in different light conditions before posting

Hang on Studio Wall

I've seen this kind of scene many times when I've been on holiday in the west country but I've always thought it's not my thing. Last night I decided to take the plunge and have a go from an old photograph. I'm pleased with the painterly feel and it's nice to bring some different colours to my work.
