Drama, mood, atmosphere and the all important dendritic elements which give your paintings their style. The way you have layered the washes in the foreground has given it depth and texture.....Stevan you just get better and better. Love the use of the posts!

Thanks Susan I appreciate the feedback. Fiona, As ever its great to get your commentory. There goes that word again "dendritic". For a word I hadnt come across until you used it its now become part of my every day parlance. And my accustomed style. Steve

Hang on Studio Wall

Whilst walking the coast path in pembrokeshire I came across a line of fence posts that from a distance made no sense but were so unusual I saw lots of possibilities for including them in pictures. This is one of three so far. I've done a monoprint, a traditional watercolour and this one which is watercolour on gesso. I chose to do a night scene so as to add drama and allow me to use strong colour which is something of a signature in my work.
