Galapagos sealion

I like the strong metallic colours and the textured background, what did you use?

Thank you Debbie<br />I used water-soluble oils and I painted the background with a palette knife. First it was a silvery colour but I thought it looked a bit drab, then I went over it with a more sandy colour. The colour hasn&#39;t come out quite right in the photo.

You have depicted his fur wonderfully Diana, great subject.
