puffins on the rocks

This is delightful Diana! The lovely intense colours of the sea and boat contrast so well with the rocks in the foreground. I've seen the puffins on the Farne Islands too, an unforgettable experience. Apparently they are known by the locals as Tommy Noddy's.

Gorgeous colours and lovely subject. ( I want to see puffins in Pembrokeshire last summer. I was hoping to get a photo of one with a beak full of fish, but failed miserably. )

Nice work - the puffins are really good. The boat is a little distracting though.

Very nice painting Diana. I particularly like the unusual composition and the subject matter.

Thank you Fiona and Dympna. I wasn't too sure about the composition as the boat and most of the puffins are pointing out of the picture to the right. My painting is actually squarer than the photo format - ie there is more sea above the boat and I am wondering whether to introduce a flying puffin coming down towards the boat in the top right segment of the picture to point viewers back in.
