Limited palette, and loose enough to be perfect, lovely scene beautifully painted.

A lovely monochromatic scene, expressing such a quiet and cold winter's day. Very nice technique Diana, and I really like the washes on the old stone castle walls...

Beautiful Diana a great work wonderful

The little use of colour on the castle gives this a nice lift. Good drawing skills shown here too. As it is quite detailed, I feel the reflection needs a little attention, exact reflections are very difficult I tend to blur mine!

Love this almost monochrome painting Diana, makes me feel cold. Great reflections too.

Can't add anything Diana, even Stephen's comment on reflections is corret and worth noting. You've got the skills.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm pleased that you pointed out the reflection... It's ruining the scene. Every time I looked at it I homed in on that reflection. I may try the blurred technique!! Thanks for your help

I love the style and the generally muted palette on this Diana, in fact, one of the best interpretations of this well painted castle that I have seen.

You can do them and i love them.....reflections. peter. Hull.

Diana, this is so beautifully painted in that lovely limited palette.

Lovely painting, great palette.

Diana, this is stunning! I love the palette and one of the best paintings of this famous castle I've seen.

One of the best versions I've seen of this well painted castle. Excellent.

I'm blown away by all these motivating comments. Credit to the photographer for giving the inspiration behind these lovely colours. I still need to work on reflections. Thank you Diana
