You've not played a single brush-stroke wrong in this one - the figures are completely convincing, but not overworked, and they work with the picture as a whole. One of your most appealing paintings.

The figures are great, but the shining bit to this is the colour and light through the distant trees,wonderful.

I couldn't pick one single area out that shines, it all shines.....love the lines and marks in the tree bark. Superb!

Superb piece, Dermot. Love the light airy atmosphere and the lovely use of aerial perspective. The figures too are beautifully rendered.
