Dated 1994 along the title at the bottom.

This is a real beauty Derek all the hallmarks of a great work love the anger worked perfectly

Thanks dennis, soon to be painted over I reckon.

This is a good image Derek, it caught my attention immediately, get it framed and on show...

Striking image!

I just love this one Derek. I can feel the anger and frustration you felt and it's fabulous!

Thanks Alan, Debs and Louise. You people amaze me sometimes and I am extremely grateful for your comments. This is rubbish in my mind and is now partly painted over.

Oh Derek, wot r u like!!! Honestly, I meant what I said but then it's your painting and we were too late giving our opinion..

I like this one too Derek! I'll try and get angry tomorrow to see if I could do something as good as this.

Thanks Louise and Satu. You folk are taking the whatsit aren't you?

Great - really inspiring image Derek.

There was a first effort working out OK thanks Michael then minutes later ruined and I wasn't fast enough to protect it.

So this is what happens when you throw your stuff around...... must try this result is great.

Yes Sylvia, looks like I should get angry again, not difficult to be honest, old and grumpy too.

Interesting to see your abstract style making its way into the landscapes, Derek. Keep on!

I get frustrated with my work Derek but don't exhibit the ones that don't go as I plan. You have and for that you deserve credit for underlining what art is all about-awakening perceptions in the mind of the viewer. Strange paradox that although you may not have achieved what you set out to, you have generated much comment. I'd say that represented a success wouldn't you?

Too late to comment and too late to save the painting! I thought it WAS great Derek.

Well, the comments go on and thanks Ivan, Philip and Fiona for your really encouraging words.

I wasn't attempting abstract in those days and this was a result of storm then temper. Very frustrated, a longish walk, having set up a large paper, all the gear nicely in place, comfortable lean or perch if I remember correctly and then a deluge which went on and on and no real sign of it.

This one has got it nailed my friend, follow this style... paint in a storm again if this is how your work evolves, its up there with the best, love it my sort of art

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
