Love this Derek. The mass of greens is very good. It doesn't overwhelm the painting. Windows of the house are lovely too. It has a happy feeling to it - probably because you were happy in it.

Thanks jennifer, early days those and I remember struggling with the greens but carried on.

Super watercolour Derek, you are a man of many talents.

Very nice Derek a well studied piece

Thanks Stephen and dennis, long time ago as I said and also plein air, but very much a learning curve

It's lovely to share your memories Derek along with your paintings as you are sorting out. This has the look of a happy place.

Yes it was thanks Fiona

Great watercolour - your confident use of a variety of greens is super.

Those were the days thanks Thea, not so confident now

The pinky orange of the building against the greens really makes the colours pop! Lovely!

Digging through piles as organising an open/view day at the house on Saturday and found this. The building was a resident commune for artists who were happy to share their work place before demolition to build the M3. Lovely old place of course and spent many happy hours, there for comradeship, learning and experience. 3o x 40cms on 140 Langford.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
