What a lovely bit of text to support your painting. It is an innocent little piece of your painting past - that sky is lovely and also the thatched cottage has an appeal. There's not many painters would be as brave as you, Derek ,lovely work, I will say. You have also kept to a limited pallet by the looks of it.

Thanks CA. The sky changes of course, but the cottage is still there. In those days I didn't even know what a limited palette was.

Beautiful work Derek and what a great first. Great body of work

I think this is my first a long tine ago, they say you should never bin stuff. From my own sketch and a sunrise sky I borrowed from somewhere. It's at the end of a lane near Romsey before it goes into woodland and where we used to walk at dusk and spot the Nightjars

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
