Really like this one Derek. All the black ink lines and then those drips running down to the two brighter buildings just works doesn't it. Such a good technique.

Like this, Derek. I use a spray when painting in watercolour to cause runs, like you’ve used here. It’s great to just watch the paint do it’s own thing.

20x30cms on paper. Oliver's “Lovely” technique featured in the current Artist magazine inspired me to use the view across the road towards the allotments. Quite similar. Didn't use texture medium, because I forgot and tried the coffee for the first washes. Rigger and black Indian ink gives the greatest effect and spraying with clean water. Acrylic paint and card technique not wasted either.
