Excellent Derek and three in the day even more so

Thanks Dennis, yes we worked hard and got a nice lunch too. Spelt it wrong too, it's Gilbert

Good variation of greens Derek, do you find adding pastel sharpens the watercolour, or dulls it down. It's a good effect, one I've never tried.

Thanks Fiona, I found pastel sharpened it a touch but it was used sparingly.

Thanks Derek. I've just read your thread on the forum (I don't do the forum as a rule) but you are most welcome to crit my pictures any time you like. I want to learn, and we don't always see what can be so obvious to others. I'm not saying it will make a difference to my ability but you never know! Lol.

Thanks Fiona. I tend not to, but now and then something glaringly wrong crops up. The problem if it's a comparative novice, I could do some horrible harm, so best to keep schtum I think. I will make an effort if I see anything untoward (unlikely) in your work.

I know what you mean Derek, there are some sensitive souls out there, and as you say it could put some off ever putting paint to paper again. I hardly know what I'm doing myself, I would never dream of advising others, but please mention 'anything untoward' if you see it.

OK and number 3 Day out is up.

That's a good days work, three paintings. As Fione has said, you have got a good variety of greens here, also like the bright colours for the flowers, gives it a lift.

Thank you Stephen

Splendid work, Derek. Not an easy piece to paint, but you've done it really well.

Thankyou Seok, it was a pleasing if testing day alomst too may greens for my liking.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
