hi Derek I like it especially the sketch . when I have done sketches in the past they allways seem better than the worked up painting and I think that's true here .

I like the top one a lot. They are book really good but that one has more tone and depth.

Dennis and Thea thanks. You are both right in what you say and comment on. My wife likes the sketches more than finished work. The top one (so called finished) has more tone and depth as I have more time and palettes available at home.

Ink and wash try out that is not good, including the initial plein aire sketch from way back. Will have to practice more and hone technique.
