Water Sinks, Malham
A sketch of mine en plein air in '91, near the famous Limestone pavement at the Malham Cove, Yorkshire. I have worked this to a 33 x 20cms on paper based on Paul Talbot-Greaves article in the current Artist mag. Added walls and distant hills and meadows on the sketch and changed colours, but it seems OK as a winter scene up there. Worked this during morning while wife in and out trying to paint her surprise after Ernst Kirschner, Will post the latest stage of that later
About the Artist
Derek Snowdon
Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
