It would have pleased them immensely Derek a beauty

Well done Derek, very good use of your card again, love the vanishing point effect.

Another good one Derek , love that credit card technique

Thanks dennis, Carole and Dermot. It seem to fit my technique when I saw it.

It does suit your style Derek, it has an industrial feel to it, which would also probably suit your style. Love the combination of blues and yellows on the right.

Thanks Fiona, I know what you mean. Must try some floral work...........Oh no

Brilliant. I particularly like the sharp edges and the colours. Intriguing effect.

Cheers Gudrun, praise indeed.

Super piece Derek - reminds me a bit of the Grand Prix - love your use of the credit card to get such good effects.

Yes thanks Michael it could be I suppose. Have just gessoed another couple of boards for next work, haven't a clue what but maybe a still life.

I see quite a lot of effort put in this, another successful work of yours, Derek.

Wow, this is very good Derek. The watery effect on the road, the colour and the perspective are so well done.

Love this derek. Particularly the right side, it looks very intense and intricate.
a good contrast to the rest of the picture.
thankyou for your comments about my own work. Very much appreciated.

Cheers Ivan, Marjorie and Michael, oddly it's not a wet road, it's light from the dying sun, but who cares?

It's a fantastic painting Derek and for me it's a deck or a shipyard. Great use of card and an unusual combination of colours. Instead of white for the last light you could use unbleached or buff titanium which is very handy for that purpose and creates a much softer light.

Great technique and composition Derek;. I must give this Credit card method a try!!!!!

Thanks Satu and Chandra. Have heard about Buff titanium and will try it. Benn messing with transparent white which works, then I get them mixed up - stupid

Super piece, Derek. The contrast of the textured shapes on the right with the smoothness of the road is so effective in creating tension in the building.

Cheers Seok, I am trying to coordinate shapes, colours and balance them.

wow! great work here Derek!

A beautiful well handle complicated scenery. I love the colours and the great perspective work too!

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
