A very interesting result Derek. Hot stuff

Thanks Pod and dennis

When I viewed this painting firstly I saw reflections in water, the top third, and in the centre, a boat, and then fire in the foreground. The bit that intrigues me are the two dark bits beneath, erupting volcanos, maybe. Interesting Derek.

Bursting hot colours here Derek! Stunning.

Super colours and I can definitely feel the 'fire' effect. Really hot colours which contrast in an exciting way with the cooler turquoise and blues. Great work.

Thanks CA Sarah and thea, at least some of my non ideas got through.

I interpret it as the first on the main course women's Oxbridge boat race.

Vibrant and full of movement. Nicely done, Derek!

Pardon Sian? Thanks Seok

The Cambridge Oxford boat race from Puntey to Mortlake took place yesterday and for the first time the women's race took place on the same course. I see the London bridges in your picture and the shape of the oars and the turbulent water and can imagine the light blue of Cambridge and the dark blue of Oxford. Fanciful, huh ?

Ah yes thanks, I did watch it and the mens and the Grand National. Not fanciful, it's how you read these things that is fascinating as I am new to abstracts
