This is interesting Derek, and the yard sounds like a goldmine for artist's, almost looks worth restoring, or is it like me, beyond help!.

Great Almost sbstract in form, like the "Spirit of the Jowett." I seem to remember there being a Jowett Javelin??? in the 30's. Can't remember whether it was a car or a van, but the name always fascinated me as a child.

Lovely texture throughout, and I love the purple van! It has a collage feel, and the abstract quality is very well suited for your subject. !! :)

30 x 20cm on paper. From a sketch in 2007. My mate Danny has a yard full of smashing subjectsincluding steam rollers, ancient tractors, threshers etc which I have sketched and painted over the years. This van is similar to the one my dad drove as a company vehicle when I was a lad
