No you didn't ruin it, it's beautiful. The soft colours are what make it for me - and knowing just the right amount of detail to describe.

That's really made it Dennis, just enough detail to make it interesting, very nostalgic, it reminds me of that 1948 winter, I was only 5 but I remember walking down the lane with my dad to my grans, the snow was piled high just like this.

Oh I see, so this is what happened next. I like both. I suppose the first could be in a snow storm when one has poor visibility and this is once it's cleared. You are really imaginative with your palette Dennis!

Cool, peaceful and lovely Dennis. I do like those colours and the way that you've loosely indicated the scene. It's one of those paintings that I find myself looking at for some time. It's sort of relaxing to look at, nothing hectic or overdone about this one..it's lovely!
