Lovely composition Dennis. You don't need the bird. It's taking the eye too much. You could get away with it if it was much paler in tone, but trust me, you don't need it here. Your choice of palette for the snow is excellent. Snow is rarely white. Even in the sun it reflects all the colours around it, just like your painting.
