I love this painting Dennis, has so much emotion, lovely one :)

A shining example of your work Dennis

Lovely painting Dennis, I like these

Many thanks to all much much appreciated

Makes me want to get out the winter woollies, The feeling of winter really captured here, lovely painting.

So lovely Dennis, we used to go there to collect mother in law after she had holidays with her sister.

I get goose bumps looking at your compositions. The placement of the telegraph pole is perfect, on the square of the rectangle. And what about that lovely triangle of dried grasses which leads straight up the roof lines of the cottage, repeated with the high white triangle of the snowy roof. Good art must have these underlying abstract shapes and interlocking patterns which engage the eye and lead us round the picture. You have such sense of this which is why I prefer your work to E Seago. He was very competent but he just painted views, which was ok in his day, but art has moved on.
(I think I might have opened a can of worms here........!! Dare I say.......discuss.....?)
Just keep painting as Dennis Roberts.
Ps I left a comment on your painting earlier this summer, Sandwell winter. Your best yet I believe.
Eye catching colour and composition dennis, Smashing work here

So simple yet so effective!

Love the muted colours, Dennis - and you can really feel the cold in this painting. The strong shadow across the white cottage makes all the difference.

Been offline for a while Dennis, and can't catch up I'm afraid, but this one just stands out as one of your best. Super work.

Again, a splendid rendition of light and dark, with a super composition and loads of atmosphere. Lovely work, Dennis.
