Really brilliant Dennis i will say no more

You said enough mate I'm happy and a big thankyou Dennis

This is really good and you've got away with the figures, they're fine, balances the composition perfectly.

Thankyou so much Alan the figure is a bit central however its okay i think

Thankyou glennis very much

Thankyou Michael that's a great breakdown of this painting you know your art mate .

This painting is really good Dennis, lovely colours :)

Thank you Maria very much obliged .

Dennis, love the colours in this and the atmosphere of the painting - fantastic.

Rules are made to be broken - and this is a great example - works so well .

Just shows the instruction books can sometimes get it wrong Dennis.....this is fabulous!

Beautiful Dennis.

Perfect colours... I love this painting. It feels co,d but again it is joyous with those warm and cold tones!

Fabulous, one of your best!

Thanks Karen Beatrice and Stephen I'm very pleased you like it and im glad Stephen that you think its one of my best .

Really stunning piece, Dennis - so much of it is suggestion, yet the mind's eye pictures so much detail. One of my favorites among your recent works.

You are wrong about your composition and the placement of the figure! The figure is off centre to the left and balanced by the dog who is off centre to the right. There is a lovely upside down trianglular shape pointing down to the man&#39;s head, again offset from centre. There is another triangle, a blue one, the other way up, formed by the bottom of the left hand bank and leading up to the dog and the man on the right hand side from your signature. The asymmetry and repetition of shapes in the background give the painting a strong unity.<br />Sorry to bleat on but honestly, it&#39;s a beautiful painting. One of your best!!

Can&#39;t stop seeing shapes now! The whole of the left hand snowy bank is again a triangle pointing directly at the focal point.......I wish I&#39;d painted this one!!

thanks Elizabeth fair enough I accept what you say lol
