Used to love the old Roadmaster buses. As a school kid I used to jump off early before the bus reached it stop, so it was not so far to walk home. Well sketched - I look forward to seeing the painting.

The poor chap having treatment in front of me at the dentist was in the surgery longer than anticipated. Rather than twiddle my thumbs I begged a piece of paper and the loan of a biro and sketched out an idea for my next painting which I plan to execute in 'sloppy' watercolour. Lots of wet in wet, maybe some ink and no fiddling. I'll see how it goes. The idea for the sketch came from recalling how things were in the northern town where I went to school seventy years ago. The big red double decker used to shuttle we lads to and from school - a number 8 service bus which ran every twenty minutes.
