Sutton Bridge
I’ve sketched this bridge, a unique swing bridge over the river Nene at Sutton Bridge several times. It was originally built to carry road and rail. Nowadays it just takes road traffic. It really is quite a challenge. I sketched this during the summer and found myself featuring in a number of photographs which were being taken by a photographer who was involved in creating tourist information literature. I haven’t seen the final publication but I hope my sketch will be given some prominence!
