Florence
This must be one of the .busiest sketches I have ever done - and one full of memories. It was drizzling, a gentle warm drizzle but enough to make me look for a place undercover where I could work. I found it near the Uffitzi. Lots of people eager to see what you was up to non more so than a fellow from Illinois who watched me over my shoulders or a little while then kept coming back to check on progress made. He turned out to eat fellow artist, said he was intrigued by the way I worked and shortly after I got back home I received from him,a photograph of me at work
