The River at Wareham by Denis Pickles
This is an ‘oldie’ - a real oldie! I painted it on the one and only course I attended run by the late Edward Wesson shortly before he died. ?1982? A wonderful week and the one which really got me painting again. I met so many lovely people and until I got too old, I travelled far and wide filling sketch books and painting pictures to satisfy myself. Here, I was trying to paint like the ‘master’ using simply watercolour.
