Thank you Satu and Louise, just done a one-liner, not really happy with it but it's like an old A level paper, which always seemed to start 'Compare and Contrast..... ! lol

Saw the one-liner first and loved that one. Also love this one - it is really beautiful - the poppy has so much variety in tone and colour which picks out the petal shapes wonderfully well and I do like the way you have negatively painted the stalk and leaves. You should do more flowers!

I do like this Debs, the dominant poppy, the abstract foliage in the background and the winding path leading the eye into the painting. So apt too for this time of year.

Would never have guessed you were not a flower painter, Debs! This is gorgeous - love your luminous washes, the beautiful transition of hues and the lovely palette.
